Gundabad Orc Chieftain

Gundabad Orc Chieftains are the leaders of the Orcs of Gundabad, found in some Gundabad Camps and at the tops of Ruined Dwarven Towers. These high-ranking Gundabad Uruks allow those with at least +100 Gundabad alignment to hire Gundabad units. They wear Gundabad Uruk armour, minus the helmet, carry large Gundabad cleavers, and hold silver coins in their left hands to show that they are traders.

Spawning

Gundabad Orc Chieftains can be found in the larger Gundabad Camps. Camps can be found in Eriador, the Lone-lands, the Vales of Anduin, Northern Wilderland, and many neighboring biomes. Camps are not guaranteed to house a chieftain; camps sometimes have Gundabad Orc Scroungers instead.

Behaviour

Like other traders and commanders, Gundabad Orc Chieftains do not seek out foes to target, even if enemy players or NPCs come within their sight range. If attacked, or if a fellow Gundabad NPC is killed within their sight range, they will fight the offender. If a player is friendly with Gundabad but does not have enough alignment to hire from them, they will refuse to trade and instead greet the player with a hail of insults.

Equipment

Gundabad Orc Chieftains have some of the best equipment in the game, wearing full Gundabad Uruk armour aside from a helmet. They wield a Gundabad Uruk Cleaver, a melee weapon dealing 8 damage, equal to a sword.

Strategy

As they are a stronger foe than the regular Gundabad Orcs, try to kill the weaker units first before attacking the chieftain.
When fighting Orcs, use long ranged weapons like spears as basic Orcs are smaller and have a shorter reach.
Try to draw them away and fight them one at a time, because many Orcs can overwhelm you, especially with insufficient equipment.

Lore

Gundabad Orcs recieved their name for the sacking of a dwarven mountain fortress named Mount Gundabad during the Second Age.
